Knee Binding?!?!?
« on: November 11, 2009, 10:44:25 PM »
Ok first off I'm embarrassed to have this ad on my and I apologize to everyone and hope no one buys this binding.

The binding I'm talking about is the Knee Binding, they claim to fame is a rotating heel piece. http://www.kneebinding.com/KB-IHaveTheGlasses.aspx click on the link and take a look at the flash video. This company needs to get their head out of the sand (yes I said sand not snow) because they are obviously no where near a ski resort. Rossignol has done a rotating binding for many years now and I personally know Marker had the Free MRR 13 model w/a rotating heel because I had one.

So to sum things up don't buy into what the Knee Binding claims, and I'm sorry I can't choose not to have the ad on the site.  >:(

I agree.  Binding companies like Marker and Look/Rossi has been making turn table heels from the late 60's and early 70's.  I still have a pair of Rossi Haut Route  from 1974  that is mounted with Look Nevades, turn tables heels.  And no, I don't ski them, but I could.  Rossi/look has brought back the turn table heel this year due to popular demand.  So be on the watch for the Rossignol FKS and the Look Pivot.  Not only are these binding easier on the knees but their mounting screw pattern is tighter and more under the boot.
So the boot and binding has less impact on the skis flex.
When it comes to bindings, stick with a company that has been around for more them twenty years.  To many binding companies have came and gone in the last ten years.  Ever asked why? 8)
