Well I just had to get out of Boise and away from head aches this weekend. So it was throw some equipment and a friend in the truck and head out.
I not only learned to ski at Soldier Mt. but you could say it was the start of my career in the ski industry, patrolling, guiding and ski tuning.
Going home is always good feeling, but when you are welcomed like friends and treated like family it means something.
In this trying state of economics, its important to return to the basics, good food and great value is what they offer.
The new lodge, even though one could say it was built in a hurry it is great with a home like setting. The skiing is always good, a few inches of new and no lift lines with an open boundary policy.
I may be rethinking my home base resort.
